Here's how the markets fared on Monday
Sensex, Nifty ended the first day of the week on a positive note after a lower open. The Nifty closed 36.75 points or 0.16% up at 23,537.85, and the Sensex gained 131.18 points or 0.17% to end at 77,341.08.

Shares of ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank, Mahindra & Mahindra, ITC and Power Grid Corp Of India contributed most to the gains in Nifty.

Shares of Reliance Industries, IndusInd Bank, Axis Bank, Infosys, and Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone weighed on the index.

Market breadth was skewed in favour of buyers. Around 2,120 stocks rose, 1,872 stocks declined, and 164 stocks remained unchanged on BSE.
