The NSE Nifty 50 settled 17.30 points or 0.08% lower at 22,200.55, and the S&P BSE Sensex ended 117.58 points or 0.16% down at 72,987.03.

The market breadth was skewed in favour of the buyers as 2,214 stocks rose, 1,577 declined and 144 stocks remained unchanged on the BSE.
