Indices End In Green 

The NSE Nifty 50 ended 216.95 points or 0.91% higher at 24,131.10 and the BSE Sensex closed 759.05 points or 0.96% up at 79,802.79.

Top Gainers

Bharti Airtel, Sun Pharmaceutical Industries, Cipla, Mahindra & Mahindra and Tata Consultancy Services led the gains in the Nifty.

Top Losers 

The companies that dragged the Nifty the most were Power Grid and Shriram Finance.

Sectors Ending In Green

Except the Nifty Realty and PSU Bank, all the sectors on the NSE ended in the green.

Broader Markets

The broader markets underperformed as the BSE MidCap and SmallCap rose 0.31% and 0.76% respectively.

Market Breadth 

The market breadth was skewed in favour of the buyers as 2,334 stocks advanced, 1,623 declined and 93 remained unchanged on the BSE.
